How to Choose the Right Liner

Because advanced Rollpak films are thinner and stronger, gauge is just one consideration in choosing the best liner for the job. For the ideal combination of performance and cost effectiveness, follow these simple steps

Step 1: Determine the proper resin type for your application.

  •  Linear Low Density - LLDPE
      - Everyday use liner. Suitable for virtually any application and environment.
      - Offers good puncture and tear resistance.
      - Manufactured in a variety of colors and suitable for a wide range of applications.
      - Rollpak Brands: LoadStar™, Super Silver™, Bulldog™

  •  High Density - HMW-HDPE
      - Great all-purpose, cost-effective liner. Suitable for heavy, wet, non-sharp objects.
      - Provides substantial cost savings per liner.
      - An excellent choice for soft refuse, such as office, restroom, paper products, etc.
      - Stronger and more durable than ordinary polyethylene liners of the same thickness.
      - Rollpak Brand: Workhorse™

  •  Higher Alpha Olefin - HAO
      - Combines the best features of linear low density and high density bags. Ideal for heavy,
irregular waste. Best used when maximum stretch and puncture resistance are needed.
      - Combines the best features of linear low density and high density bags.
      - Maximum puncture and tear resistance.
      - The safest choice when you are uncertain what kind of refuse you may have.

Step 2: Determine the correct size.
The
Liner Size Guide* makes it easy to
choose the right bag size. Gallon capacity
or size is printed on most containers. If
you don’t see this information, measure
your container before consulting the
Liner Size Guide*.

Step 3: Select liner gauge.
Many Rollpak liners provide the same or
greater load capacity than higher-gauge
competitive bags. Choose lower gauges
for lighter loads like paper and general
refuse; higher gauges for heavy and
extra-heavy loads.

MEASURING FOR CORRECT CAN LINER SIZE
  BAG WIDTH
  Use 1/2 of the outer
  circumference of the
  container.

  BAG LENGTH
  Use the height of the
  container, plus 1/2
  of the diameter of
  the container, plus 3"
  (for overhang). For
  square or rectangular
  containers, use the
  diagonal of the
  container bottom.
Liner Size Guide

To determine the liner size you need, match your container to the corresponding container in the
Liner Size Guide*. Liner sizes shown include three inches of overhang around container rim. Right-Fit® liner sizes are shown in red. View Liner Size Guide (*requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
